SOCIETY/ Council Elections 2022 ballot
 
Nominations for Council have closed and a preliminary ballot will now be conducted to determine the candidates for the formal vote at the AGM on 8 June 2022.

Civica Election Services (CES), will once more administer this year’s Council ballot. Fellows should have received voting information in their inbox direct from CES ([email protected]) whilst those with no registered email address will receive a postal ballot pack. If you have not yet heard from CES via email or post, or have difficulties casting your vote, please contact Christina Marron

9-13 April 2022
 

Join a 5-day, fully-funded, residential training school for undergraduates, postgraduates, post-doctorates and early career researchers who identify as Black, Asian or minority ethnic.

Participants can join a series of workshops, networking activities and events to support preparation for their research careers.

OTHER/ Career Pathways Survey - Critical Minerals Association

Our friends at the Critical Minerals Association (CMA) are undertaking a careers pathway survey for geoscientists/ mining engineering students/ mineral processors/ mineral surveyors/ environmental engineers who have attended UK universities.  
 
The aim of the survey is to discover the opportunities offered and challenges faced by young people joining the mining industry. The results will be used to encourage future talent into the sector.
  
It takes just a few minutes to complete and all results will be anonymised. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
